THE AIRPORT IS HAVING AN
AIRSHOW POSTER
DESIGN CONTEST !!!!!!!
The Airport invites artists
of all ages in Slidell and the surrounding areas to submit
an original design to suitably commemorate the upcoming 3rd
annual Air Show to be held on March 31, 2007. The theme of
the poster is The Vietnam War and the primary aircraft to be
incorporated into the poster’s design will be a Huey
Helicopter. The only required lettering on the poster must
read as follows:

Vietnam War
Veterans
RULES
● All entries must be
original
● Poster cannot be
larger than 18” x 24”
●
Your name, address and phone number must be
on the back of the poster
● Deadline for
submission of entry is
February 20, 2007.
Entries are to be submitted
to the Airport Manager’s Office, Slidell Municipal Airport,
62512 Airport Road, Bldg. #1, Slidell, LA, 70460. Posters
will be judged on February 21, 2007, by a panel of Airport
officials and the winner will be notified by phone no later
than 2/23/07. The winner will receive $200.00 and ten (10)
posters. The original entry remains the property of Slidell
Airport and will be hung in the new terminal building. The
winner agrees to sign and number 100 posters to be sold as
“signed by the artist.” The winner will also be invited to
a poster unveiling to be held after the winning poster has
been chosen.
